NATO and Warsaw Pact
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Warsaw Pact were created to ensure safety for many countries. NATO was made first among many nations that were democratic governments to keep them safe. The idea behind it was that if one country was in trouble the others would come in and help each other out. The Warsaw Pact was made in response to NATO just that it was all communist countries. These alliances were made to make each group more powerful and stronger against the other.
